
On a cloud-filled night sky in Taos, the full moon still shines brightly!
In the high desert of northern New Mexico, the atmosphere is thinner than at lower elevations. The effects of this can be seen at night when the full moon is in the sky. It shines so brightly that it’s possible to see clearly enough to walk without any artificial light—even when it’s obscured behind clouds. This painting was from a night such as this!
